APPLY YOUR STICKER/GRAPHICS LIKE A BOSS
Have you ever trashed a new sticker or decal? It just turned into a twisted and wrinkled vinyl? Don't ruin your brand new sticker, decal or graphics. Below are some tips and tricks that will help you apply your RIVAL graphics or stickers.
TIP 1: START WITH A CLEAN SURFACE
Pre-wash the working area with soap and water or a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol) and water. If you are opting for the soap/water mixture, make sure to rinse thoroughly. Avoid window cleaning products as they tend to leave residue behind.
TIP 2: TEMPERATURE
For the best results, apply decal or graphics when temperature is 50F or above. Indoor or outdoor. Make sure your car has not been baking in the sun and/or snowing outside.
TIP 3: MASKING OFF/MEASURING
Masking tape can help your graphics and decals positioned exactly where you want to place them. Leaving the backing paper in place and facing the surface you are applying it to, position the sticker where you want to it be placed. Place a piece of masking tape along the top edge of the graphics/decals. Lift the graphics/decal as if it is on a hinge, and proceed to peel off the backing paper. While holding onto the bottom edge, slowly lower the sticker, using a squeegee work your way from top to bottom. Measure twice, lay it down once.
BANNERS
If you are placing one of our Banners, it is highly recommended getting help or have a professional install the banner. Since our Banners are universal cut please place Banner held by masking tape to insure it is either centered, or placed in the desired position.
Reverse Cut banners will warp if it is stretched far too much. Please avoid over stretching the Reverse Cut. Please measure your windshield before placing our banner.
Due to shipping handling, and temperature fluctuation, the backing paper or transfer paper may lift. Please firmly press down on the transfer paper so that the actual decal and or graphics is on the transfer sheet.
By any chance your windshield is too large for our banners, do not be bummed out. Reach out to us and we can provide you with the desired measurements.
